Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm, exit from its portfolio company DB Corp Ltd by selling 3.6% stake in open market for market INR 1570 million. Warburg Pincus, invests in the publisher of Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar in
2006, made 1.82x return on exit.
Warburg Pincus sells its entire stake, held by its entity Cliffrose Investment and DB Corp Ltd, a part of the Dainik Bhaskar Group.
In 2009, Warburg Pincus partial exit during the
company’s initial public offering (IPO) .
With the current stake sale, Warburg Pincus made a total return of INR 2730 million on
its INR 1500 million investment.
